Partnerships Technology

Data science is a rapidly emerging field with immense potential for African and international businesses. This is facilitating new opportunities for businesses to collect and analyze data to gain insights into their customers and markets.

Pathways Technologies leverages data and technology to simplify the connections between businesses and their customers by delivering innovative technology solutions for our clients, allowing them to achieve better outcomes. The company provides organizations and individuals with holistic solutions that enable effective decision-making and service delivery.

VentureLift Africa (VLA) is a venture studio, marketplace platform, and advisory firm that supports the scale-up of African business into the region and globally and facilitates market expansion of diaspora-owned companies into Africa. The VLA team offers a unique blend of expertise drawing from investment (technology venture capital, private equity, mergers and acquisitions, and IPO)and operational experience. The team also has a significant track record in research on African and US minority and women-owned businesses. VLA is an implementation partner of the USAID Africa Trade and Investment Program for the training of AGOA advisors and linkages with buyers and suppliers under Prosper Africa.

The partnership will leverage data analytics for a variety of projects beginning with trade and investment flows into Africa, projections of the economic impact of AGOA and AFCFTA upon Africa, large enterprise and SME corporate reports, and cross-sectional analysis on Diaspora commerce.

“Through our partnership, we are committed to facilitating analyses of AGOA trade, diaspora engagement, and tech-driven innovation that creates more jobs with the ultimate objective of connecting African youth talent to the US and other global markets. By harnessing the potential of data and technology in Fintech, Creative, Energy, Healthcare, and Agriculture sectors among others, we are confident in achieving this goal,” said Mr. Joel Onditi, CEO & President, of Pathways Technologies.

The Pathways-VLA partnership also aims to boost digital skills in Africa. According to the International Finance Corporation, over 230 million jobs in sub-Saharan Africa will require digital skills by 230, resulting in almost 650 million training opportunities.

The partnership will create new business lines for market information focusing on tech-driven industries.

“Africa’s investment and trade partners are rapidly evolving across the continent and the disruption of technology is impacting most sectors. At the same time, there are no dedicated platforms addressing the current and potential economic capital provided by the global African diaspora – in its diversity, differentiation and commonality. We will also ensure that African SMEs and corporates have greater visibility in the U.S. and on the global stage. Our aim is to be a leading source for data and analyses tracking these trends and business reporting across the continent and globally,” according to Dr. Wilmot Allen, Founder, of VentureLift Africa.
